About Winifred Skiff
In August 1975, Win and her husband Roy moved from their Titchfield home to Silverlake in Droxford to allow them the space to keep their ever increasing number of animals.
Win has dedicated her life to the welfare of animals and it is entirely due to Win that so many of these animals past and present owe their lives. Despite being blind herself and suffering poor health for many years she still managed the day to day running of the Sancutuary until the age of 84, when she succumbed to an illness that made living at home untenable and moved into a care home.
Sadly Win passed away in February 2008 but Silverlake continues as Win wanted.
